Celebrating The Gaels in Nova Scotia exhibit, the Inverness County Centre for the Arts is hosting a Gaelic Fair. The Fair is open to all ages, providing activities and entertainment free of charge.
12 pm: The Fair opens with a Gaelic market, featuring display and sales tables, hosted by local heritage groups and artists.
1 – 2:45 pm Square sets and steps dance session with Melody Cameron and a watercolour workshop, “Introducing Gaelic” with Virginia McCoy.
2:45 Tea and refreshments with authors Frank Macdonald and Jim St Clair.
4 pm “Gaelic comes to Dinner!” An entertaining discussion on Gaelic language offering handy Gaelic phrases with Bernard Cameron
4:45 pm Milling songs
6-8 pm Fund-raiser Roast Beef Dinner. Catered by Frankie MacKinnon and served with all the trimmings, the dinner will be a delicious treat for a reasonable $20. Tickets can be purchased in advance. Remaining tickets will be available at the door. Meals will be available for take-out.
