Sweet Enough – a new play by Lindsay Thompson directed by Alison Crosby
From the writing and directing team that brought you See Jane Run comes a heart-warming new play about growing up, growing apart, and growing to accept that we can’t change the past.
When a young girl forms a relationship with her aging neighbors new questions are thrown into her life. Can the family you chose really be family? How late is too late? Can bittersweet be sweet enough? An exploration of love and laughter in unexpected places.
This gentle comedy is equal parts charming and moving with more than enough laughs along the way. It was originally developed and presented at CBU’s Boardmore Theatre as part of the 2017 One Act Festival. It was later further developed by the Playwright’s Atlantic Resource Centre and was supported by the HAT through a grant from Arts Nova Scotia.
This production features Jenna Lahey, Josie Sobol, and Ron Williams – all reprising their roles in this new and extended version.
