Ricochet are the local scene’s flagbearer. With nearly ten years carrying the load, the band is constantly evolving and never one to rest on their laurels. 2014 will see the foursome take to new heights with the release of a new album recorded at ECMA winning studio SoundPark with Albert Lionais (Tom Fun Orchestra). The record is fast and furious as always, but with melodic elements and a drive fueled by new drummer Marcel Bourgeois (Wilds of Borneo / Ballroom Massacre).
The Kriegers are expat Cape Bretoners trying to find some legs in Halifax’s punk rock scene. A veritable who’s who of local musicians, their resume includes ex-members of Ricochet, Wrote Off, One Day Late, The 20 Something Windbags, and The Teenage Hurricanes.
After leaving Black Tooth Grinn to focus on his own songs, Bob Gill put together a lineup of some of CB’s best and formed Analog Signal. Constantly writing and revisiting riffs from year’s past, the Signal bridges territory between classic rock, alternative, and elements of psychedelic rock. With members of BTG, Stygian Sky, The Liquid Vapours, and Thirty Aught Six in the fold, you know it’s going to be loud and unrelenting.
