A groundbreaking stand-up-sit-down-comedy-nightmare about a man named Victor. His mother is possessed by the devil. His father is the saddest man in the world. His sister is in love with the dog. The one he loves does not love him…and he’s got nowhere to live. A man on the precipice of a nervous breakdown, Victor drags his audience through his life, his fantasies, his desires, and his recent push to the edge as he searches for answers in Daniel MacIvor’s grand epic.

~ An Experiment in Radical Access ~
In the light of this unprecedented time, the HAT is trying something Radical: to become the first Professional, Community-Funded Theatre in Canada. They are looking for 2000 people to make monthly donations of $25 or more to publicly fund their operations and projects and as a result, the HAT will offer all 12 Mainstage plays and musicals every year free of charge.
While they haven’t quite reached that goal, but the folks at the HAT know that it can work and they’re willing to make the first move.
As an experiment, the HAT’s two August productions – House and John & Jen – will be free of charge to prove this model will work and be amazing for our community.
If you’re trying it out, you are encouraged to make a monthly pledge to help reach the HAT’s goal so they can finally rely on a consistent revenue stream and know month-to-month that they can pay their bills. For more information or to make your pledge, check out: http://www.highlandartstheatre.com/radical-access
