The focus of this year’s festival is a celebration of Alistair MacLeod’s life and work through readings, workshops, conversation, music, theatre, and a specially-commissioned tribute by Jane Urquhart. Our featured writers include David Adams Richards, Steven Galloway, Alexander MacLeod, and Anne Simpson who represent the wide diversity of writing in this country and throughout the world. The festival brings together these internationally respected award-winning authors in a weekend sure to delight and inspire both writers and readers.
9am – Doors Open, Coffee, tea, and treats, Bookstore reopens
10am – Panel discussion with our writers moderated by Leacock Award winner, Bill Conall
12pm – Sunday Brunch prepared by chefs from The Gaelic College
12:45pm – Songs and stories with Ronnie MacEachern
1:45pm – Draw for our survey prize – a Clare Ryder sculpture
Each day of the festival there will be a draw for a festival package featuring a mounted copy of this year’s Festival poster created by Gary Addicott.
