It uses story and song to celebrate the history and struggle of Industrial Cape-Breton’s workers and their families and communities. Original monologues, written by local writers, showcase important figures in Cape Breton’s labour history and also present tender, funny, and heartbreaking snapshots of the anonymous families whose livelihoods depended upon the steel and coal industries throughout the twentieth century.
