Come to the fourth annual Lumière art-at-night event in downtown Sydney! Lumière is Cape Breton’s first and only annual art-at-night festival. In the spirit of the international Nuit Blanche phenomenon, Lumière brings contemporary art projects to the streets, shop fronts, sidewalks and public spaces of downtown Sydney for an immersive and unforgettable evening.
The event is family friendly, accessible and free to the public.We have an exciting line-up of projects this year, so join us on September 27th to see downtown Sydney transformed!
We are also hosting some great artist talks and workshops!
• 4-6:00pm / Unity3D- An Introduction to a Freeware Artist Resource at the New Dawn Centre for Social Innovation.
• 6:30-8pm / Lumière Artist Talks by Michael McCormack (Halifax, NS), Jack Wong (Halifax, NS), and Group for Spatial Temporisation (Cornerbrook, NL) at St. Pat’s Museum
